Pfizer Says Vacation with Your Dog before the Summer Ends
With canine motion sickness the leading reason pet owners are not able to take their dogs on day trips or vacation, Pfizer is encouraging more people to talk with their veterinarians about managing travel with their dog before the summer ends. Since Pfizer’s Cerenia became the first-and-only veterinary approved canine medication in America, Europe and Canada to prevent vomiting from a wide range of causes, including motion sickness, Pfizer has seen thousands of dogs successfully treated by their veterinarians.

Abbott Study Shows Investigational Heat-Stable Norvir Tablet Provides Similar Drug Levels to Current Norvir Capsule

Mylan Declares Quarterly Preferred Stock Dividend
Mylan Inc. announced that in accordance with its 2.139 million preferred stock issuance, the company has declared its quarterly dividend of $16.25 per share (based on the annual dividend rate of 6.5% and a liquidation preference of $1,000.00 per share) payable on August 15, 2008, to holders of preferred stock of record as of August 1, 2008.

Abbott and AstraZeneca Expand Relationship to Include Co-Promotion of CRESTOR
Abbott and AstraZeneca announced that they have entered into an agreement for Abbott to promote AstraZeneca's CRESTOR, a medication used along with diet to reduce high cholesterol.
Under the terms of the agreement, Abbott will obtain the non-exclusive right to promote CRESTOR alongside AstraZeneca in the United States, excluding Puerto Rico. Specific financial terms were not disclosed.

Amgen Licenses Molecule for the Treatment of Chronic and Neuropathic Pain to Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc.
Amgen announced that it has licensed a clinical stage molecule for the treatment of chronic and neuropathic pain to Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a Johnson & Johnson company. The terms of the agreement include a $50 million upfront payment, the potential for $385 million in success-based milestones and additional sales based milestones and royalties on sales.
