The Picture Puzzle was created by John Spilsbury, a London mapmaker and engraver, sometime between 1760 and 1762. He used one of his maps, cut it out into pieces and made the first 'dissected map to facilitate the teaching of geography.'
Different variations of the puzzle eventually came up including the one we have on this page. It is a combination of the Picture Puzzle and Rotation games. The objective here is to assemble the picture you select after the computer has scrambled it.
